The Leicester Castle Classic Sportive took place on Saturday 13th August 2016 and was followed on Sunday 14th by the Leicester Castle Classic, part of British Cycling's Elite Men's National Grand Prix series.

Riders took part on 50km, 100km and 160km routes, all courses featured the undulating Leicestershire countryside and included the famous Bosworth Battle field where Richard III fought and lost his crown.

Riders were treated to tea and cake on returning, with a bottle of beer in their goody bag!
